Max Raabe & the Palast Orchestra

German musician Max Raabe is described as having “the looks of Fred Astaire and the deadpan humor of Christopher Walken.”  The leader of the Palast Orchestra, Raabe’s most recent album is One Cannot Kiss Alone, an off-beat but charismatic combination of the Roaring ‘20s and futuristic pop.   Raabe and a friend founded the Palast Orchestra in Berlin in the 1980s and have been keeping the music of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and the Weimar Republic alive ever since.
