Dan Gediman, Robbins Milbank and This I Believe

Each week Bob is joined by Dan Gediman, the Executive Director of   This I Believe, Inc. to discuss one of the original essays from the 1950s radio series. This week’s featured essay is by Robbins Milbank. A Princeton graduate and son of a prominent New England family, Milbank worked as a logger in British Columbia for six years, later moving into advertising and becoming a vice president at his agency. Milbank knew great success and great sorrow in his life, losing his beloved father and wife in quick succession. In good times and bad, Robbins Milbank says he found strength in his belief in the Lord’s Prayer—and the connection it gave him to God.  Click here to read a transcript and to hear the audio of his “This I Believe” essay.
