We already had hour one of this weekend’s show produced and posted when we heard about Les Paul’s passing on Thursday. We decided to take our finished Woodstock segments down and make room for a 7-minute appreciation of the master guitarist and musical innovator. Bob visited Paul at his Manhattan night club in the spring of last year (see next blog entry) and we pulled a few clips from that broadcast. Les Paul was 94 and until a few months ago, played a weekly concert at the Iridium for 14 years straight. He passed away on Thursday of complications from pneumonia.
