Maimah Karmo and the Tigerlily Foundation

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death for American women. There are many campaigns to raise awareness about the disease, but they often focus on middle-aged women, who are most likely to receive a cancer diagnosis. But many women under forty, including teenagers, are also at risk. Maimah Karmo founded the Tigerlily Foundation to educate young women about early detection methods and treatment options.
