Ira Flatow

iraf.jpgIra Flatow has one of the most important voices in the Science community.  For sixteen years he has served as the executive producer and host of NPR’s Talk of the Nation: Science Friday, a program that delves into hot topics in science for the benefit of public radio listeners nationwide.

His foundation, Talking Science exists for the stated purpose of making Science accessible to young people.  With difficult problems such as climate change to deal with, scientific innovation is at a premium, and stimulating an interest in science in our young people and in society at large, may turn out to be a more important job than even Flatow himself had envisioned.
