Bob is in Los Angeles today accepting the Gabriel Award for "Exploding Heritage," our documentary about the controversial practice of mountain-top removal coal mining. The documentary has won four national awards and the recognition has been gratifying on many levels, not the least of which is showing people that original radio reporting can be heard places other than NPR. To further that cause, Bob and producer Ariana Pekary are in production on a documentary about homeless families–its root causes and the ripple effects it has on the lives of the children. We’re hoping for a late November air date.
