Fair Game from Plame

redacted.JPGBob is in the studio right now talking with Valerie Plame Wilson. Her memoir, Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House, tells her side of the story of her "outing" as a CIA operative by Robert Novak in 2003. It set off a spiraling scandal that resulted in one reporter going to jail, another threatened with jail, a grand jury investigation, and the indictment and then pardon of Cheney’s Chief of Staff, Lewis Libby. However, Plame’s story isn’t fully told in the book because the CIA, who had to give Plame permission to write her memoir, redacted a good chunk of the book. But Plame and her publisher decided to leave in the black-lined redactions. The interview airs tomorrow morning.
