Rowan Oak is in Oxford, Mississippi, about an hour and a half southeast of Memphis. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a trip. Fans of William Faulkner’s books and casual visitors alike will find an interesting and educational experience. The grounds and the house are peaceful, continuing the quiet that Faulkner cultivated when he lived there.
