Bob O’Neil presents the 2011 Muzzle Awards

Since 1992, The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression has been shining a light on attempts to shut people up. The annual Muzzle awards are given to those individuals, corporations, institutions and governments who do their best to limit other’s right to free speech. It’s a dubious honor, but one that seems in little danger of ever exhausting its supply of nominees.

Director of the Charlottesville, Virginia-based center Bob O’Neil discusses this year’s list – which is always released on Thomas Jefferson’s birthday, April 13th.
