It’s the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV for the right to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It would be a little sweeter if the Packers could return that particular trophy to Green Bay since Lombardi was the iconic coach on the sidelines of Lambeau Field from 1959-1967 leading the Packers to five league championships, including the first two Super Bowls ever played. David Maraniss wrote a biography of Lombardi called When Pride Still Mattered. Then he helped transform the story into a Broadway play called Lombardi, which is running in New York’s Circle in the Square Theater. The play stars Dan Lauria as Vince Lombardi and Judith Light as his wife Marie.
