Sam Quinones: Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream: True Tales of Mexican Migration

Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 through October 15. September 15 is the day several Latin American countries honor their independence and this year, Mexico celebrated its bicentennial on September 16^th. 

Sam Quinones is a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and author of Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream: True Tales of Mexican Migration.  In 1994, he traveled to Mexico expecting to stay a couple of months.  He was there for ten years.  He says “nuance and complexity form the big, beautiful heart of Mexican immigration.”  That idea shines through the book and his interview Wednesday with Bob.
