Homeboy Industries

Father Greg Boyle is a Jesuit priest in East Los Angeles.   Since 1984, he’s helped thousands of young people get out of gangs and learn to hold normal jobs. His organization, Homeboy Industries, is the largest gang intervention program in the country, touching thousands of lives every year. In his book, “Tattoos on the Heart,” Father Greg tells the stories of gang-bangers who went straight—but also the stories of those he was unable to reach, and those whose violent pasts intruded on their attempts to go straight.

  1. For anyone interested in more from Father Greg Boyle, I’ve posted a low-bandwidth audio file of the original August 11, 2005 The Bob Edwards Show airing containing Bob’s first interview with Fr. Boyle to the BobEdwards.Info website.

And don’t forget the Virtual Car Wash Homeboy Industries is holding…
