Dan Gediman, John Davis Drummey and This I Believe

Each week Bob is joined by Dan Gediman, the Executive Director of This I Believe, Inc. to discuss one of the original essays from the 1950s radio series. This week’s featured essay is by John Davis Drummey. He had a long career in advertising and public relations despite being a disabled veteran of World War II. Drummey was also a cartoonist for several publications, and wrote “The Observant Bostonian” column for Boston magazine for many years. In his essay, Drummey discusses his belief that life can be more fully lived once we overcome our own self-centeredness and that the more people we understand, the better we can know God.
