Dan Gediman, Oscar and Esther Hirschmann and This I Believe

Each week Bob is joined by Dan Gediman, the Executive Director of This I Believe, Inc. to discuss one of the original essays from the 1950s radio series. This week’s featured essay is by Oscar and his wife Esther Hirschmann. It was the only statement on the original This I Believe series to be delivered by two people. The couple lived in New York City, where Oscar was a poet writing under the pen name of Oliver Hale. They found that their love for each other inspired compassion and understanding for all of their fellow citizens.
