Today’s guest is musician Jerry Jeff Walker. Bob described the “Gypsy Songamn’s” career very succinctly in the program’s open and I cannot improve upon it: “A one-time New Orleans busker — turned Greenwich Village psychedelic rocker — turned Austin, Texas alt-country pioneer…the man who told Jimmy Buffet he might like Key West, and the guy who as a temporary jailbird, met Mr. Bojangles and wrote a very sweet folksong about him.” Now Walker splits his time between Texas and a small fishing village in Belize. Walker invites his fans, known as Tried and True Warriors, to come down to Central America a couple of times a year to join him for some live music under a full moon.
